About the event
Come out for a morning in the hinterland visiting a waterfall you may not of explored before, you can swim there as well. Afterwards we will drop into the Mapleton Bakery, so many lovely items there. We will talk about the land, share a meditation together down at the creek and meet some other lovely ladies.
Baxter Falls is a part of the Great Walk on the Sunshine Coast, beautiful forest to walk amongst. The track twists and turns leading down to the bottom of the gorge. There you'll see a suspension bridge and walk a bit further to see the waterfall.
Grade 2: Formed track. May have gentle hills and some steps. Clearly signposted. No experience required. 7.4KM roundtrip
Parking: On Flaxton Mill Road there will be cark parking on the Right hand side with a sign that say Kondalilla National Forest. Old Mill Lane is right across from this car park
To Bring:
- High socks and hiking boots, occasionally if it's rained it can be muddy and leeches may visit you
- 2 litre water bottle
- Bug repellent
- sun protection
- Swim wear
