About the event

Enjoy rolling hills as far as you can see cosying up by the fire at night aww the serenity. A weekend for women to get out and adventure in our beautiful backyard! Hike to breathtaking views, kayak on glassy waters, relax to mindful meditations and a sound immersion.

2 1/2 Hour Drive from the Sunshine Coast we will dive into nature staying along Moogerah Dam. 

DAILY SCHEDULE, weather dependant  

Friday August 25

• Meet at Moogerah Caravan Park set up camp etc. 10AM

• 30-minute drive; 3 Cars to drive to Mount Cordeaux (Megan and 2 others)

• BYO lunch and snacks for the hike

• Hike up Mount Cordeaux to Bare Rock 13.2KM, Talk about different plants & the history of the Scenic Rim, enjoy the breathtaking views

• Mexican Theme Dinner, soft tacos

• Campfire, card games & treats  

Saturday August 26

• Breaky

• 20-minute drive on gravel road; 3 cars needed (Megan plus 2 others)

• 9:30AM Mount Mathieson, see a different perspective of the range, learn about plants, animals, history.

• Noon onwards you have a few options

1) Drop into the local Elderflower Farm

2) Enjoy a relaxing wine tasting at the quaint back veranda of Bunjurgen Estate Vineyard, they have offered us FREE tastings for our group or head to the Scenic Rim Brewery for a paddle tasting 150mL between $3.50-$5.00

3) Just enjoy the beauty of the lake, read a book, play some games, soak it all in

• Come back all together for a BBQ Dinner  

• Campfire, games, chats & treats  

Sunday August 27

• Breaky

• Kayak or SUP along the glassy waters of Lake Moogerah for the morning

• Break down camp

• On our way out of town we will drop into Kooroomba Lavender Farm (at this stage they are open!)

• Stop into Summerland Camels on the way home

 

ESSENTIAL ITEMS

• Head Torch

• Tent/Swag, I suggest bringing a tarp to have under your tent as it does get a bit damp in the mornings, pillow, sleeping bag, etc.  

• Medication

• Toiletries

• Camp Chair

• Yoga Mat or Towel  

• Hiking Boots, Sneaker are fine if you are comfortable with walking in mud  

• Hiking Poles (personal preference)

• Backpack

• Cooler

• Water

• 2 litre Water bottle

• Breakfast

• Lunch materials if you decide you don't want lunch out  

• Snacks

• Small Share platter

• Plate, Bowl, Mug, Cutlery
