 Girraween Discovery

Take in the fresh air, amazing views and memories to be shared with other adventurous women! This is a great option for those who love camping or just getting back into camping also available are cabins; there are hot showers & toilets, a large camp kitchen plenty of fridge space to use.... sit back & relax in the evening and enjoy your meal getting cooked for you. We will carpool each day to the hiking locations, just a 20 minute drive. 

 

All hikes are optional. 

 

Travel time from the Sunshine Coast is 3 1/2-4 hours. 

 

Example Itinerary, subject to change due to weather conditions. 

 

Thursday:

  • Meet by 1:00 PM to set up camp 

  • 2:00 PM drive down to the day use area and enjoy a guided sunset hike

  • Dinner all together around the camp fire getting to know one another

 

Friday:

  • 9:00 AM Head out for our morning guided walk and learn about some plant species and enjoy some mindful meditation 

  • Many locations for wine tasting but we do have one right across the road at Komino's  

  • Alternatively lots of fun shops to check out around Stanthorpe

  • Dinner around the campfire enjoying some laughs and wine that you may of picked up from your trip into town haha

  • Sound Immersion

 

Saturday:

  • 10:00 AM A longer guided hike 

  • BYO Picnic Lunch

  • Mindful meditation and learning about energy techniques

  • Relax along the rippling creek at the Junction while reading a book or chatting with a new friend, check out the visitors centre

  • Ugg boot shop, best apple pie, aloomba lavender, truffle discovery

  • Dinner at the Brewery

  • Campfire Chats

 

Sunday:

  • 7:00AM  A gentle hike 

  • Mindful Meditation & Movement

  • Final breaky together

  • Pack up camp & head back home

 

Grading of Tracks: Grade 3 to 4

Bushwalkers with moderate levels of experience and fitness.Tracks may be rough with steep, exposed rock inclines and many steps. Caution needed on decomposed granite and at exposed natural lookouts. Ankle-supporting footwear required.
